i) The bearing was thoroughly cleaned, and the white metal was broken and chipped off from the bearing inner diameter.
ii) The bearing was subject to a shot blasting process for cleaning.
iii) Hardness and MPI for crack detection were done and were observed within limits.
iv) Rebabbitting of the generator bearing was undertaken in our plant, which has the latest breed of centrifugal equipment and machines. The bearing ID was maintained as per the drawing received from the client.
