Crankshaft Repair does not require crankshaft to be removed from entablature. In recent past due to seizure of bearing or development of taper, ovality, loss of alignment of crankshaft it was necessary to remove the crankshaft from the engine block and send it to the designated workshop for crankshaft grinding and crankshaft repair.

The introduction of lightweight, vibration-free crankshaft grinding equipment facilitates grinding of crankshaft, crankpin and crank main journal on the spot while the crankshaft is assembled in the engine block. There is no necessity of even decoupling of alternator and other accessories from the diesel engine. The portable crankshaft grinding machine is placed on the crankpin or crank main journal through the inspection window of the entablature and the grinding and polishing operation is done.

The crankshaft grinding machine is centre less, vibration free equipment which ensures that the centre line of the crankpin is maintained. The crankshaft grinding and crankshaft polishing is done in one setting.
