Turbine Bearings

It is important that white metal Babbitt bearings used after grinding of rotor shaft, alternator shaft, crankshaft and turbine shaft are of high quality. RA Power Solutions undertakes rebabbitting of white metal bearings. The bearings shells are thoroughly inspected for any presence of cracks and hard spots. In case the bearing shells are not damaged babbitting of white metal is undertaken.

The babbitting is done by a centrifugal process and the grade of white metal used for babbitting is selected based on the load on white metal bearing. The in house machining after rebabbitting of white metal is undertaken maintaining the close tolerances as suggested by the manufacturers of turbine shaft, alternators and rotor shaft manufacturers.
