During our experience of the last\u00a0four\u00a0decades, we have observed that although the crankshaft of the\u00a0marine engine, compressor, or\u00a0any rotating equipment is repaired due to the non-availability of the crankpin &amp;<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/turbineshaft.in\/blog\/2019\/06\/14\/crankpin-machining-crankshaft-journal-machining-crankshaft-grinding-services-ra-power-solutions\/\">main journal bearing<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>engine\u00a0cannot be put back into operation, thus causing losses\u00a0to the owner. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The non-availability\u00a0of engine &amp; compressor bearings may be because the equipment is outdated and no longer manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer. In this case, the engine manufacturer refuses to supply the undersized and oversized bearings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, in the case of a Daihatsu crankpin with a standard diameter of 170 mm, the final size after grinding may be 167 mm. We manufacture a 3.0 mm undersize bearing for this condition. The engine is then put back into operation. On the other hand, as per the engine manufacturer, the crankshaft would be considered unusable and rejected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have saved hundreds of crankshafts by supplying undersize\u00a0Tri-metal Bearings and Bi-metal Bearings beyond the last limit of grinding recommended by the engine manufacturer.
